Tuesday at GCC —
Susan will be recording “With the Master Before the Mirror: A Ladies Bible Study of 1 John” starting Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM (CST). Feel free to join us!
The book of First John is a letter of self-examination to see if you are in the faith and living the example of the life of Christ. In what is possibly her best work yet, Susan Heck expounds on John’s letter as a spiritual mother, lovingly reiterating 1 John 2:1: “My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous (1 John 2:1). The tone is tender in this book as the Apostle John expresses love and concern to his readers, using that phrase, “little children” seven times. As we look in the mirror of God’s Word we are to examine our hearts closely and we will see that we need to change!
Susan will teach two lessons on Tuesdays from 10 am to 12 pm. There will be a short break between lessons. Please note this is a videotaping session only.
*There will be no table discussion.

Think Biblically!: Recovering a Christian Worldview John MacArthur, general editor
“What we think shapes who we are. That’s why the Bible tells us, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind” (Romans 12:2a). In a world of differing voices competing for our allegiance, we must learn to “think biblically” so we can distinguish good from evil. God is the Creator of this world; His voice-His Word-must guide our thoughts and our lives.
With the Bible in their hands, John MacArthur and other scholars and teachers from the Master’s College confront the false worldviews that dominate our postmodern world. The authors provide models for cultivating a biblical mind-set on worship, psychology, gender, science, education, history, government, economics, and literature. This book will help anyone who is striving to think biblically in today’s culture.”
